Personal Budget Estimator. You can now
contact the CarolinaCard office via email carolinacard@sc.edu or
803.777.1708. We will email you a Budget Estimator Report which list
your purchases and deposits by month.
For Example, it will list monthly
expenses by category like dining, vending, parking, etc.
New Online Features
We have 2 new online features in VIP
under CarolinaCard options for all students, faculty and staff. You can
now accept the card holder agreement online and update your account
access information.
Meal Plan
Downgrade or Cancellations
January 20th at 5:00 PM is the deadline for downgrading or cancelling your meal plan.
Freshman living on campus cannot cancel their meal plan.

New Flex Meal Plans
We have 3 new Flex Meal Plans which give you
the power to eat meals at non-traditional hours, using 'Flex
Dollars' at 50 Percent Discount at participating Carolina Dining
locations. (See Carolina
Dining website for more information on the flex plans at
http://www.sc.edu/dining).
You can now make a deposit to your Flex
Dollar Account and continue taking advantage of your 50% discount
at participating Carolina Dining locations.
Flex Dollars
can be added to your Flex Dollar Account with a minimum deposit of
$10 and a maximum per plan as follows:
Minor Flex - maximum
deposit of $130.00 per semester Major Flex - no maximum deposit
per semester Mega Flex - no maximum deposit per semester
Balances remaining in the Flex Dollar Account at the end of a
semester will be moved automatically to your Carolina Cash
account.

Carolina Cash rolls from semester to semester. When
you graduate, you will receive a refund check for your balance after
you complete our Refund Request.
Carolina Cash cannot be used to buy any Gift
cards except Barnes and Noble gift cards in the Russell House University Bookstore.
Fee Payment Information Deposits
made to Carolina Cash will NOT be available for expenditure until 10
days prior to the first day of classes if ANY portion of the tuition
bill is paid for with Financial Aid. Deposits made to Carolina Cash
will be made available once the payment is posted if the ENTIRE bill
is paid with either cash, check or charge. To make deposits to
Carolina Cash for immediate expenditure, please go to the
CarolinaCard Options under the Financial menu in VIP.
Effective June 2010, the Red Flag
Rule, a new federal regulation requires that a government issued id
be presented to get a new university id or a replacement id.
Damage Card Fee Effective
July 1, 2008
Damaged Cards:
Damaged cards can be replaced at the CarolinaCard office during
regular business hours. A card is considered damaged when any of
the following may apply: the card is broken, bent, holes have been
punched in it, it has been misused (for example, torn, chewed, etc
), or warped from the heat (dashboard, clothes dryer). There is no
fee to reprint cards that need to be replaced due to normal wear
and tear and/or where the magnetic strip no longer works due to
card quality. Damage will be accessed when the card is presented for
replacement and it will be up to the discretion of the CarolinaCard
office and its management if a fee is assessed. Damaged cards will
be replaced for $25.00. Once a new card is made, previous cards
cannot be re-activated nor will the $25.00 fee be refunded

Getting a Spouse ID
Spouses of current students, faculty and staff can get an ID by
bringing in a marriage certificate and both parties must More

You can now go to VIP to verify your meal plan, check
Carolina Cash balances, view transactions, and report a lost card.
Students should go to the FINANCIAL tab on VIP while
faculty/staff should go to the PERSONAL tab.
The
Carolina Cash account may be used at ALL campus locations
including all Dining facilities.
